Hi, I'm Pierce , illustrator and self taught artist based out of Lexington, Kentucky. I work in a plethora of mediums , from large scale acrylic and spray paint murals to copic marker desk top pieces and work primarily in watercolor. Water color is my favorite media to work in due to the etheric esthetic it can take on and its endless possibilities .
Sometimes I like to throw paint on a canvas and make random shapes, blending technical abilities with the mindless playfulness of a child creates results that showcase both left brain and right brain aesthetic. Every body is an artist whether they realize it or not.
I'm really inspired by a superfluous number of artist, in particular I like Frank Frazetta, Simon Bisley, Serpieri, Luis Royo, Yoshitaka Amano just to name a few. I love fantasy art just as much as portraits of people doing every day to day tasks, and abstract works, I love art in general, every aspect of it I love. I could be inspired by a great scene in a movie, a book or a funny or sad incident someone tells me.
If interested, going back and forth between digital art and traditional is vital, or even mixing the two together provides a high degree of variation. Traditional provides an essential avenue to digital art, both have pros about them worthy of familiarizing yourself with. Wether it’s the convenience of handling time sensitive quotas via the quick turn around times it takes to print digital copies vs having to scan in traditional pieces, or the unique route of creating a true one off piece wit
